Social work training can be a stressful and demanding time for students and placements alike.

As well as getting to grips with a new world of work, students must bear in mind that they are being assessed and placement supervisors have the job of supporting their students, as well as carrying out their daily duties.

As a Social Worker who remembers their time on placement, I have a keen awareness of the scale of the impact that a Practice Educator can have. I endeavour to provide a nurturing and challenging space where students can feel supported, learn and grow.
